Viewers of art should experience pleasant surprises that take their eyes and mind away from the routine and stress of life and into a place of enjoyment.
My art is a practice that started early in life, took a wonderful career and family hiatus, and fortunately has returned to me in a later stage. Living in Germany when young provided the opportunity to take painting lessons from a local artist. My grandfather had been an artist, and my sister was taking lessons, so I gave it a try, and found a passion! Painting stuck with me, and over the years there were opportunities to practice, as well as appreciate existing great art in museums, galleries etc,. Since then my life has transitioned to allow painting the time, energy and professionalism it deserves. And, I am still using the easel my grandfather made for his work!
Each work is an opportunity to learn and create meaningful art that will provide enjoyment. My inspiration is taken mostly from places lived and travelled, locally and elsewhere across our beautiful world. Here's hoping you enjoy!
